"Dear colleagues,

I want to inform you of very grave events happening in Spain.

Publico newspaper has published tapes where anyone can listen to Mr. Fernandez Díaz, Interior Minister of Spain, conspiring in order to fabricate false information against Catalan pro-independence parties CDC and ERC.

Today, it has been known that Prime Minster Rajoy was fully informed of the actions of its interior minister, confirming that PP has used the police and the media to destroy a democratic movement like the Catalan pro-independence.

Catalan President Artur Mas (CDC) was falsely accused by Spanish Police of having bank accounts in Liechestein just before elections at the Catalan Parliament of November 2012.

Mayor of Barcelona Xavier Trias (CDC) was falsely accused by Spanish Police of having bank accounts in Switzerland just before local elections in May 2015.

All Madrid newspapers today avoid giving any information on this, it shows the inexistence of press freedom and independence in Spain".

"Dear colleagues,

I would like to complement the above sent information to you in order to have an ampler scoop:

1. There is no pro-independence party in my country (independence of what?). There are pro secessionist Parties, though secessionism is illegal and antidemocratic.

2.Press freedom in Spain is as equivalent as in any other democracy. But, oddly, in the Spanish Catalan region Medias are absolutely dependant on the regional pro separatist government and permanently manipulates reality.

3. I recall that secessionists do not represent at all the entire Catalan citizens, far from that, and then they cannot speak on their behalf. I am Catalan as well as the Interior Minister of Spain.

4. Having said so, some time ago I have asked for the dismissal of Interior Minister, for his incompetence (for instance, for being unable to protect Spanish citizens against physical aggressions of separatists) and today I reiterate my willing to ask for his dismissal, not only for incompetence but also for misbehaviour.

Thanks for your patience,

Enrique Calvet Chambon, Spanish MEP Independent of any Party, neither Spanish nor European".
