Dwayne Johnson honrará a Robin Williams en el 'remake' de 'Jumanji'

En palabras de Dwayne 'La Roca' Johnson, el 'remake' de 'Jumanji' "honrará" la memoria del fallecido Robin Williams, protagonista de la película original de 1995. En una publicación en Instagram, el actor ha mostrado su respeto al cómico y ha informado de los progresos de la producción.

"El amor y el respeto que siento por este hombre es ilimitado, y tenéis mi palabra de que honraremos su nombre", escribe Johnson. "Y el personaje de Alan Parrish será siempre inmortalizado en el mundo de 'Jumanji' de una forma sincera y genial. Tengo una idea de lo que hacer y creo que su familia estará orgullosa".

"También pienso que Robin está en algún lugar mirando y riendo, recordando la primera vez que nos conocimos entre bastidores, yo era un idiota inútil que no podía articular palabra. Idiota. Él literalmente me tranquilizó con su sonrisa y risas. Pero esa es una historia para otro momento", continúa.

Dwayne Johnson también ha dado detalles de la película en su publicación, así como sus sensaciones con el papel.

"Siento que para crear algo genial debemos empezar por donde todo comenzó, el material original de 'Jumanji', del galardonado escritor Chris Van Allsburg. Chris también escribió 'El expreso polar' (adaptado después por Robert Zemeckis y Tom Hanks) y tiene una forma muy especial y mágica de contar historias".

"Me siento bien y con confianza de meterme en esto como productor y actor para ofreceros algo grande que vosotros y vuestras familias podáis disfrutar", confiesa.

En la película original "había tres grandes papeles" protagonistas, el 'remake' tendrá cinco. Johnson también nos invita a estar atentos porque esta semana puede haber anuncios sobre el reparto de la cinta, que llegará a los cines en verano de 2017.And the #JUMANJI magic begins.
